Local generosity is helping strengthen communities across the Tri-State once again.
The Foundation for the Tri-State is excited to announce that $55,410 has been awarded through its Spring 2026 Community Grants cycle, supporting eight projects that will expand access to services, create new recreational opportunities, strengthen educational programs, enhance community spaces, and enrich the lives of residents throughout the region.
This spring, the Foundation received over 20 applications requesting over $200,000 in funding, reflecting both the creativity of local organizations and the growing needs they work to address every day.
“These grants are a powerful example of what happens when people choose to invest in the future of our community,” said Kathryn Lamp, President and CEO of the Foundation. “The donors who created these funds may never meet every person impacted by their generosity, but their legacy will be felt through stronger nonprofits, healthier communities, and new opportunities for people across our region. We are honored to help connect that generosity with meaningful community impact.”
Community Grants are made possible through discretionary and field-of-interest funds established by individuals, families, businesses, and organizations who have entrusted the Foundation to respond to changing community needs. Those charitable funds allow the Foundation’s grant committee to invest in projects that improve quality of life throughout the Tri-State, supporting innovative ideas and organizations that are making a lasting impact where it matters most.

-
- Ashland Community Kitchen – Community Kitchen Improvement Project

As a Home of Philanthropy in the Tri-State, the Foundation connects charitable giving with community needs, helping donors create lasting impact while supporting organizations and ideas that move communities forward.
The next Community Grant cycle will open September 21, 2026, and applications will be accepted through October 30, 2026 at 5 PM.
